This is a used refurbished Blendtec Total Blender with very little usage and has been cleaned and refurbished with a brand new Alterna Jar and a Tamper. The Alterna Jar is made in the USA from BPA free Eastman Tritan Copolyester material and comes with a 1 year warranty. The blade assembly is replaceable. The tamper is an accelerator tool just like the Vitamix blenders - not that really need to use it, but it's a safety tool for "just in case", great to have for WHEN you need it (not IF)... because it will help you prevent you from putting into the jar during blending a spoon or fork or knife or your "HAND" ---- ahhhhh (that leaves no room for negotiations - so please NEVER DO THAT- it's just horrific). A tamper is safe. Plus it will aid in making great smooth patees, sauces, creams, purees, anything that you just don't want to add more liquid too. It's America we are talking about - we ought to be free of choosing the amount of liquid we want to put into our blend-concoction. Right?
